![]() The chapter earned the same recognition in 2011, 2012, 2013 & 2014. The success of the program earned the chapter the 2007 Jay Crosby Award for the Northeastern Province Guide Right Chapter of the Year (Alumni - Small Category). The KLL is a leadership training and mentoring program for young black males from grades 7 to 12. ![]() Through our national Guide Right program, the chapter established the NBA Kappa Leadership League in 2004. ![]() Scholarship packages have exceeded over 150,000. The chapter has provided scholarships annually to area graduating seniors for more than 20 years. Our greatest commitment has been to promoting education and leadership. Kidd Award, the highest honor awarded in the Northeastern Province. His many years of service on the provincial and national level earned him the James M. Simmons, a 1971 initiate of the Alpha Iota chapter at Morgan State University in Baltimore Maryland, has served the chapter and the province as the Keeper of Exchequer. In 2006, the chapter hosted an inspirational Central Jersey Founders Day Celebration. In 1990, New Brunswick Alumni served as the host chapter for the 60th Annual Northeastern Province Council Meeting. The chapter has not only served the local community but also the fraternity on the provincial and national level. Everywhere you turn you will find leaders in the community wearing the Kappa shield. The chapter has partnered with numerous other organizations including the Civic League of Greater New Brunswick, The New Brunswick Chapter of the N.A.A.C.P. Since it's inception, New Brunswick Alumni has been working with the Rutgers University, the city of New Brunswick and its surrounding communities. Brothers immediately submerged themselves and the fraternity into the fabric of the community. The chartering of this chapter provided a central location for the Northeastern Province of Kappa Alpha Psi. The influx of black professionals into the central New Jersey area and the chartering of Eta Epsilon in 1974 brought the following group of Kappa Men together to form and charter New Brunswick Alumni on March 9, 1978.
